Come by and draw or color in a flower during Garden Walk. Ani Hoover will be set up in front of the Rosanna Elizabeth Visual and Performing Arts Center (REVPAC) at the former Richmond Methodist church (Richmond and West Ferry) to help people make flowers that will then be appliqued onto a larger piece of fabric and quilted. All are welcome! Please bring your family and friends and join us Saturday July 30 and Sunday July 31, 10am to 4pm!
The collaborative “Flower Patch” quilt will be exhibited in the community space at Buffalo Arts Studio in conjunction with Ani’s art exhibit Craft Art Field Day. The opening for the exhibit is September 23 from 5-8pm.
Craft Art Field Day is an exhibit of Ani Hoover’s new sculpture and textile based projects. It will be held at Buffalo Arts Studio, Sept. 23, through Nov. 11, 2016. The completed quilt will be raffled during the exhibit and proceeds will be used to further other collaborative art works in Buffalo.
Refreshments will be provided to participants as well as informational packets about the future of the Rosanna Elizabeth Visual and Performing Arts Center (REVPAC) at the former Richmond Methodist church. The REVPAC Campus is the perfect setting for this collaborative art project which is rooted in community participation. The REVPAC is a social enterprise, offering collaborative art space, a contemporary gallery, a resource center for arts-related organizations or individuals, and an incubator/catering kitchen.
The mission of the REVPAC is to advance artistic production, multicultural education opportunities and small culinary enterprises, through creative place-making and arts management resources. The vision for the campus is a vibrant artistic space with soft edges that unifies our neighborhoods and city through multimedia artistic production, education, culinary and cultural exploration.
