Building acquired and owned by 467 Richmond LLC. Operational and capacity building for the arts provided by Rosanna Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts. The Rosanna Elizabeth Foundation was formed with the intent to promote and provide opportunity for the arts through community based development. The foundation is a tribute to the memory of Rosanna Elizabeth Heckl, an artist, social advocate who died in 2009 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Through market analyses we aim to identify organizations and groups that may need this type of space/residential campus to grow their organization and programs. The space and programmatic design aims to be accessible to arts and community groups looking to add value to their current programs as well as individuals and or groups seeking space for community meetings, private and public events.

Project coordination services provided by Blue Sky Concepts Inc., urban research, planning, and development services provided by Ecostandard Consultants, and an informal advisory group has been established composed of community stakeholders and members of the arts community.

Formal structural and mechanical assessment completed by Flynn Battaglia Architects. Estimated $4.8M to full stabilize, rehab, and finish interior build out.

We will, in pursuit of this vision, implement a long-term strategic plan and carry out our mission we have set forth the following preliminary goals.

Goal 1 Gain ownership control of and renovate church and related buildings
Goal 2 Designate best strategy for re-purposing the space as an arts center and or arts management resource center
Goal 3 Create a dynamic programming format
Goal 4 Design a fiscal plan that will sustain operations including staff salaries while keeping costs to users low

The renovation and development of the Richmond Ferry Church is an ambitious undertaking; thus, we have a development team and advisory/stakeholder group with a breadth of expertise and experience in urban planning, development, performing arts, theater, dance, and visual arts.
